IF YOU DON'T HAVE QUESTIONS, YOU AREN'T THINKING! C--Clarifying Questions---Questions that can be answered in the text. A--Author's Intent or Style--Questions about the author's ideas, messages, and purpose for writing. These are also questions about how the writer choses to write (think about literary devices-- setting, mood, tone, etc.). R--Rhetorical Questions--Questions that make a point. Questions that do not seek answers. Questions that reveal the point of view of the person asking the question. S--Speculative Questions-- Questions that have multiple answers. Questions that generate a lively discussion.
