We should finish our unit on Newton's Laws of Motion the week of Dec. 11. As sequences complete the test, students can use science time to work on their expedition posters, research, cartoons and narratives.

This week on the Google Classroom we begin a new topic: Physical and Chemical Changes.
Students are exploring the properties of matter through plastics and the environmental impact of plastics. All the materials are posted to our Google Classroom.
Since our Google Classroom is not viewable to those without a Portland schools email address, I am posting a screen shot of the current target and subsequent activities, assignments and resources to this blog so parents can see what students are working on. I suggest students share their usernames (student #) and passwords (technology 6-letter password) with their parents to give them access. I have also have that info for parents via email, if needed.

Due to our expedition work and year end presentations, there are no science assignments due other than work completed in class.In science this week, students will explore the concept of density through the issue of plastic pollution in the oceans. Look for more information on our Class Website.
Students are working on summative assessments for our unit on Finding Evidence of the Law of Matter in Physical and Chemical Changes . All the necessary info is posted on our Class Website. |
